Alcoa
Tomsuey was asked to create a clear communication between the public and global employees of Alcoa that personifies the roles
of the Alcoa Foundation through five unique icons taking inspiration from their existing Alcoa Volunteer branding to help develop an awareness of everything that the Foundation stands for as well as the services they provide. Simplicity being the key - provide impact with one main element per icon.
The designs must be easy to use, clean and conservative with colors that convey vibrancy, energy and be complimentary to the Alcoa "Blue". Tomsuey created timeless, universal illustrative icons that were easily recognizable in a global market able to stand on their own as well as supported by their services that they represented. |
The icons are successfully being used in both print collateral and online to promote the Alcoa Foundation in-house and to the public on an international stage.
Tomsuey while designing the icons created a cleaner and more refined Volunteers icon which was used create a new icon to promote Alcoa's 2010 worldwide month of service. Tomsuey was also asked to create internal posters, and certificates that could be customized as well as creating online banner promotions and ads for the Alcoa website. The client was extremely happy with all the collateral and also asked if Tomsuey could design a top bar navigation for their newly designed website.
"Sue these are FANTASTIC!!! Exactly what we're looking for – bright and colorful, yet still clean. THANK YOU SO MUCH!" Libby Archell, Director, Communications Manager, Global Volunteering Alcoa Foundation. |
